Yotsuba
This series is all in comics. It's a manga book, which makes it all the more enjoyable. Yotsuba is a six year old adopted girl living in Japan. And let me tell you something: HILARIOUS!!! Funiest thing you've ever read. To some people, it would be considered a children's book. But to me, as long as you have a sense of humor, you'll love it no matter how old you are. I give it four and a half stars.

OK, I think I still have a sense of humor at 62, and I have spent some time sitting near you listening to your laughter as you read one of these books. But now, having read all of one and some of others, I don't get it. Mild amusement, OK. Laughing out loud? HILARIOUS!!!? No way.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that it's not something limited only to children. I love having to read from right to left and, therefore, back to front. That's a great learning experience, and I appreciate the way it increases my awareness of things I take for granted.
But it's not that funny! Take some of those starts back and save them for better days.
